What is a YAML file?
YAML first appeared in 2001 and is now at version 1.2, which is a strict superset of JSON. It uses indentation instead of braces, supports comments, and is the configuration language of Kubernetes, Docker Compose, GitHub Actions, Ansible and many static-site generators.
ConvertCove reads multi-document YAML files (separated by ---) as an array, and quotes ambiguous strings such as "yes" or "0123" when writing YAML so they round-trip safely.
