What is a OGG file?
Ogg is Xiph.Org’s open container, and an .ogg audio file normally contains Vorbis, a royalty-free lossy codec released in 2000 as an alternative to MP3. Vorbis sounds better than MP3 at the same bitrate and is widely used in video games, Linux desktops and by streaming services behind the scenes.
Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Android play OGG natively and Safari does on recent versions. Apple’s Music app and many car stereos do not, so convert to MP3 or M4A for those.
